Days 1-8: Seoul
After arriving in Seoul, we'll spend our first full day on a day trip to the Bukhansan National Park to hike to Bukhansanseong Fortress.
We'll the spend our second full day in the city exploring Suksa Temple and Changdeokgung Palace to learn about the religious and royal history of Korea.
For our third full day in South Korea, we'll visit the National Folk Museum of Korea and the Korea Furniture Museum to learn more about the lives of everyday Koreans throughout the country's history.
We'll then spend our fourth day in Seoul on a day trip to the massive palace and temple complex of Gyeongbokgung Palace and its several museums and exhibits.
We'll then spend our fifth full day in Seoul with a day trip to the nearbyHwaseong Fortress overlooking Suwon City.
Participants will then get a free day to explore Seoul on their own and learn more about the local history and culture.

Days 1-8: Kyoto
After arriving in Japan, we'll spend our first full day learning about the history of Japan's warrior class with visits to the Samurai & Ninja Museum and Nijo Castle.
We'll then spend our second full day in Kyoto learning about the royal history of Feudal Japan's emperors with visits to the Katsura Imperial Villa and the Kyoto Imperial Palace.
For our third full day in Kyoto, we'll learn about the food culture of Feudal Japan with visits to Nishiki Market and Ichimonjiya Wasuke teahouse.
We'll then spend our fourth full day exploring the religious history of Feudal Japan with visits to Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Rokuon-ji Temple.
After that, we'll spend our next day wandering the streets of Sannenzaka Ninenzaka to observe traditional Japanese architecture.
Participants will then get a free day to explore Kyoto on their own and learn more about the local history and culture for their final full day before departure.

Days 1-8: Kurashiki
After arriving in Japan, we'll spend our first full day learning about the city's art scene with visits to the Ohara Museum of Art and a walk along the Honmachi-dori.
We'll then spend our second full day in Kurashiki learning about the confluence of art and nature with a visit to Kurashiki Ivy Square and a hike up Mt. Washu.
For our third full day in Kurashiki, we'll learn about traditional Japanese crafts with a morning visit to the Daruma doll workshop and the Royal Toy Museum.
We'll then spend our fourth full day exploring the history of the region with a visit to the Kurashiki Archaeological Museum before enjoying a nighttime walk around the illuminated Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter.
After that, we'll spend our next day learning about Japan's fashion history at the Museum of Folkcraft before participants get a free afternoon to explore the area.
Participants will then get a free day to explore Kurashiki on their own and learn more about the local history and culture for their final full day before departure.

We'll then spend our second full day in Tokyo on a day trip to nearby Nikko to explore the shinto temples, waterfalls, and culture of this forested town.
For our third full day in Tokyo, we'll learn more about the relationship between Japan and religion in its culture with visits to the Koukokuji Buddhist Temple and Sengaku-Ji.
We'll then spend our fourth full day on a day trip exploring the storytelling legacy of Japan with visits to the Jimbocho Book Town and the Ghibli Museum.
After that, we'll spend our next day with a day trip to nearby Kawagoe to see traditional Japanese architecture.
Participants will then get a free day to explore Tokyo on their own and learn more about the local history and culture for their final full day before departure.

Days 1-5: Tokyo
After arriving in Japan, we'll spend our first full day with a visit to the Tobacco & Salt Museum before heading to Omoide Yokocho to enjoy its street food stalls.
We'll then spend our second full day at the Suntori Museum of Art to witness a traditional Tea Ceremony before heading to Kojo- a unique and eccentric coffee shop.
On our third full day in Toky, we'll get lunch at Harukur- an Ainu restaurant- before getting dinner from Chankonabe Shinzan- a restaurant owned and operated by a former sumo wrestler.
We'll then spend our last day in Tokyo visiting the Fishing Culture Museum to learn about the impact of fishing on Japanese cuisine before getting dinner from Sushiryori Inose- one of the best sushi restaurants in Tokyo.
Days 6-9: Osaka
After taking the train to Osaka, we'll head to the restaurant Chibo to get the famous Japanese pancake okonomiyaki.
Participants will then get a free day to explore the flavors , culture, and history of Osaka on their own.
We'll then spend our second full day in Osaka on a day trip to the Open Air Museum of Old Japanese Farm houses to learn about the history of farming in Japan.
For our final day in Osaka, we'll get lunch from the quietly tucked away restaurant of Shunsaiten Tsuchiya before getting dinner from the famous street food sushi stall Izakaya Toyo.
Days: 10-14: Kyoto
After taking the train to Kyoto, we'll spend the afternoon at Minatoya Yurei Kosodate-Ame Honpo- a supposedly haunted candy shop.
We'll then spend our first full day in Kyoto at the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum to learn about the history of sake before heading to Cafe Takahashi.
For our second full day in Kyoto, we'll head to the historical Park of Tea and Uji Town to learn more about the history of tea in Japan before visiting the confectionery Ichimonjiya Wasuke.
We'll then spend our final day in Japan with a visit to Nishiki Market for our final meals in Japan.
