Days 1-4: Copenhagen

After arriving in Copenhagen, we'll spend our first full day exploring the origins of the Viking era by visiting the National Museum of Denmark and the Museum of Copenhagen.

We'll then spend our second full day in Copenhagen learning about the warrior culture of the Vikings by visiting the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde and the Trelleborg Viking Fortress of Harold Bluetooth.

We'll then spend our final day in Denmark on a visit to the living history site of Land of the Legends to learn about efforts to bring Medieval Norse culture back to life.

Days 5-8: Stockholm

After taking a train to Stockholm, we'll spend our first full day in Sweden learning more about the shift to Christianity in the Viking era through visits to the Swedish National Museum and Skepptuna Church.

Participants will then get a day to freely explore the history of culture of Stockholm and its surrounding landscapes on their own.

We'll then spend our third full day in Stockholm exploring the Viking Museum and the Museum of Medieval Stockholm to learn about the complicated politics and violent resistance to conversion to Christianity within the Viking world.

Days 9-14: Oslo

After taking a train to Oslo, we'll spend our first full day in Norway learning about the last legacy of the Vikings through visits to the Museum of Cultural History, Oslo's Viking Ship Museum.

After that, we'll spend our next day exploring the legacy of the Medieval Norse on contemporary Scandinavian culture with visits to Viking Planet and Oslo Sweater Shop.

We'll then spend our third full day in Norway on a day trip to the nearby living history village Vestfold to see how historians and archaeologists are bringing the Norse world back to life in Norway.

We'll then spend our final day of the trip exploring how botanists are bringing back historical flora from the Medieval Era with a visit to the Oslo Botanical Garden.

Days 1-8: Helsinki

After arriving in Helsinki, we'll spend our first full day learning about the history of Finland with visits to Pronssikautinen Hauta and an afternoon hike in the Kyöpelinvuori forest.

We'll the spend our second full day learning about Finnish literature and poetry with visits to the National Library of Finland and the National Archives of Finland.

For our third full day in Helsinki, we'll learn about Finnish religious influences on its folklore with visits to the Temppeliaukio Church and Suomenlinna Church.

We'll then spend our fourth full day exploring Finland's traditional architecture with a visit to Seurasaari Open Air Museum before relaxing at Loyly Sauna.

After that, we'll spend our next day with a visit to the National Museum of Finland for a final lesson on the mythology and history of Finland.

Participants will then get a free day to explore Helsinki and nearby towns on their own and learn more about the local history and culture for their final full day before departure.

Days 1-4: Dublin

After arriving in Dublin, we'll spend our first full day learning about Irish literature with visits to Trinity College Library and the Oscar Wilde House.

We'll then spend our second full day in Dublin learning more about the music and culture of Ireland's pub scene with a tour of the Guinness Brewery and a night of music at Dublin's best live music pubs.

On our final full day in Dublin, we'll learn more about the history of Irish performing arts with a tour and performance at the national Abbey Theatre.

Days 5-9: Cork

After taking the train to Cork, we'll learn more about the history of the Great Famine with a visit to the Kindred Spirits Statue.

We'll then spend our first full day in Cork on a day trip to Blarney Castle to learn more about Ireland during the Medieval Era.

Participants will then get a day to freely explore the city to enjoy the history and culture the city of Cork has to offer.

On our third full day in Cork, we'll explore the remains of Knocknakilla Stone Circle and Saint Peter & Saint Paul's Church to learn more about the religious history of Ireland.

On our last day in Cork, we'll take a day trip to Spike Island to learn about Ireland's history under English occupation.

Days 10-14: Galway

After taking the train to Galway, we'll head to Aras na nGael to listen in on pub conversations still held in Irish Gaelic.

We'll then spend our first full day in Galway learning more about Irish cultural revitalization efforts with an Irish dance class and a visit to a traditional Irish farm.

On our second full day in Galway, we'll head to the remains of the Kilmacduagh Monastic Settlement before watching the sunset at the Cliffs of Moher.

We'll then spend our final day in Ireland with a visit to Brigid's Celtic Garden- a supposed gateway into the world of Irish legends.
